Artists Bio

Gloria McKeown, a native New Yorker, has enjoyed a 40-year career as a commercial and editorial illustrator. She received her formal training at an early age, graduating from New York's High School of Music and Art and the American School of Design. Employed for many years as a staff artist for Madison Avenue Advertising Studio, she gained the experience and portfolio necessary for pursuing a free-lance career and later teaching illustration at the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art. In 1983 Gloria McKeown left the graphic arts field to live on the Cape. Her favorite subjects to paint are the more isolated areas of her beloved Cape Cod.
